Adventure Time!

Since I've finished high school forever, I have mounds of free time, and I am stoked! As soon as the opportunity presented itself, I took it to explore and hang out with my favourite people.

Day 1: Natural Arch and Springbrook

As sad as it is, I had never been to the natural arch in Springbrook before, so I decided to head there with Jacob and check it out! With a few traffic issues and a lucky clear up of the weather (thanks for the advance notice of road blockages council...) we finally made it to the national park where a beautiful natural arch and waterfall hung out, and it was definitely worth the drive. If mermaids ever exist, they would be there!

For ages Jacob raved about the café up on the ridge in Springbrook, and I was super keen to have a massive burger, but of course, it was closed so it was meat pies and M&M's for us :( But next was a trip up to all the lookouts up on the ridge, as well as a pit stop at the Fudge Store, which, can I say, is awesome (Lemon Meringue is the best, no doubt.) From Goomoolahra to the Best of All lookout, I have never seen so many trees in my life. For anyone from the Gold Coast, I totally recommend heading to Springbrook, the views are amazing, and you never realise how beautiful your home is until you see it from above!

Jacob and his fudge have a special connection...
Dark Chocolate, Choc Mint, Cappuccino *insert love heart eyes emoji*

Overall, it was a tiring but totally awesome day, and I will definitely be going back in the summer to swim in the natural pools and go hiking :)

the coolest abandoned house on the road to the ridge, it's made completely of stone!

Day 2: Currumbin Rock Pools and the Alley

Scarlet, Dylan and Sam checking out the territory

With hardly any time to rest, the next day a group of my best friends and I decided to meet up and head to the Currumbin Rockpools, yet another beauty of the GC. After a cute little picnic and full stomachs, we drove out into the national park, where a path took you through various natural rock pools with crystal clear water, freezing temperatures but gorgeousness all the same. It was a well needed catch up after all the stress of the HSC and made me realise what beautiful people I have in my life, as well as a perfect environment to enjoy it in.

After a few hours up in the national park, we decided to go back to Currumbin Alley for a sunbake and a swim, then finally back to Coolangatta for an icecream. So much traveling, but totally worth it! In the span of a few kilometres, there are so many things to do in the southern end of the Gold Coast, and I plan to do it all again soon!

coolest friends on the planet
