Being pretty new to the content production club, I felt that combining my knack for writing and love for music and opinion pieces could really create a space for me to create articles that were new in this area, and could stand out among all of the great producers out there.
But in this post, I wanted to talk about why I am doing this blog. I feel that in some people, there is a craving to create. Not necessarily in the fine arts or musically or dramatically (which is what many people confuse to be the only means of "creations" for a young person) but in writing. Then from that, I don't wish to write fiction or poetry. I simply want to document my life, my thoughts and my passions in a creative way. I want to put something out there, share what I have to say and hopefully, inspire others to do the same.
Now with the HSC coming to a wrap, the thought of having mounds of free time is exciting to me, as I get to concentrate on creating a project that I truly have an interest in (I think its safe to say that school isn't really a project.) For some, it's scary to think about weeks of nothing, but I think that this is a better time than ever to kickstart ambitions as a content producer and basically document the changes in my life in a way that I can share with others.
When I thought about starting up this project, I'm not going to lie I was definitely scared and it took a while to work up the courage to actually begin. I am morbidly afraid of judgement, and that my opinions on music or fashion would make people think I am seeking attention or they weren't really relevant to them. But then I saw all the other great content producers in my area and how well they were received, and in the end it came to me saying,
"Fuck it, if they can do it, I can do it."
And now here I am, with a grand total of six posts but still with great hopes to keep producing posts for this blog, and although it's still very young, I feel a great love for it. This is my space, my hopes, and my future in producing content for everyone to see.
In short, I had to satisfy my craving to share, and to give. A desire to produce more than just essays and assignments is something I can't ignore, and I hope to keep up this blog as long as I can, and I hope that everyone who sees it can share with me all I have to say. Love it or hate it, this is my fix for a content craving.
Here is a list of some of the great producers in my area, you should definitely check them out!
